Beautiful wood to turn

I have been turning Harry Potter type magic wands for my kids and grandkids who are all 'wild about Harry' using various types of wood. Some seem to work better than others. This was my first experience with katalox. It was a pleasure to turn. Once trued it is very easy to work, has a gorgeous grain, and finishes exceptionally well when sanded properly. It has a rich brownish purple color when finished, and I like the weight and substantial feel of the end product. I plan to order more and would highly recommend it for your projects.
